The Blackout announced as support for Blink-182

Merthyr Tydfil mob The Blackout will support Blink-182 on tour in July.

Sean Smith, Gavin Butler, Matthew Davies, James Davies, Rhys Lewis and Gareth (Snoz) Lawrence will share the stage with the Californian pop-punk trio on the four select arena dates as follows, along with The All-American Rejects who play all dates:

Saturday 7 July – Bournemouth BIC (Extra date added – on sale 9am, Friday 27 January)
Tuesday 10 July – Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (Sold out)
Wednesday 11 July – Nottingham Capital FM Arena (Sold out)
Thursday 12 July – Liverpool Echo Arena

Speaking on the announcement the band stated:

“We are stoked to be on this Blink-182 tour!

“We know a lot of people were disappointed with the shows being cancelled last year, but with the additions that have been made to the bill this time round, it’s hard not to be even more excited!

“We are looking forward to getting out and supporting such an iconic band! See you in the pit!!!”

The news comes less than a week after the Valleys boys replaced Sum 41 as co-headliners on the Kerrang! Tour Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink, which hits Cardiff University’s Great Hall on February 11.
