It has just been announced that Merthyr Tydfil will become host to a brand new festival this September.

Titled Merthyr Rock, the two-day music event, which has been organised by the directors of Hay Festival, will be held at the town’s Cyfartha Park.

Taking place on September 3 and 4, the weekend’s line-up features some of rock’s biggest names including: Funeral for a Friend, The Blackout, Young Guns, Attack! Attack! and Ocean Colour Scene.
